Today has been such an eventful day. Though this entry (or rather the whole blog) would be better accompanied with pictures, my camera has died and my phone is without the much needed cable. So that just SUCKS!!
But anyway, today is a good day!
Woke up and met Luq the Man to help him record his song. I do not know the title, nor do I know the band's name, BUT, the song is really well crafted. I couldn't stop listening to it yesterday night.
So we headed down to McDonald's to get some always-asskickin-good-ol' cheeseburger, and waited for Ahmad Einziger-Mayer (and that's given cuz he plays like Einziger and his hair is like Mayer's).
Blablablabla we're gonna record the drums but they couldn't pump up the metronome!! So, adding to my list-of-grunge-things would be having recorded the song with the aid of puny-level metronome ANNNNDDDD Luq the Man conducting!! It was so cool becuz it fucking worked!!
Doing the bass was great too, cuz I got to pick all the way throughout the song while imagining i'm Adam Clayton. So yeah, that was great haha!!
ONWARD TO SNAKEWEED!
Got there and met the MAN Leonard Soosay. The very very cool thing about the studio is that, we could smoke! In and out of the control room! Oh man, felt like Navarro for those 7 minutes. "Smokin in the studio.. is the shit, son!"
Meanwhile, before I began tracking, the rumors about a certain something gave me the fucking creeps but remembering what Bonk said (and thanks for coming down, btw!), I just went up to the attic and did drums. It was cool, we managed to track a couple songs, had lengthy chats about local bastards and bullshitters. Shit, you guys, these assholes really have a thing coming their way, or, I would be losing my faith in humanity and KARMA!
But, I'm always happy to know there is such a thing as karma. May the Karma Police fuck you up, bitches!!
Can't wait to go back to Snakeweed. It's the SHIT!
